And so it begins...

This is week one in my attempt to lose 40 pounds by my 40th birthday, which is only 40 weeks away...an ambitious goal, to be sure. This week is all about awareness and making small changes in order to prepare for bigger changes next week.

This week is also about getting my exercise on. I committed to completing the running leg of a short-course triathlon and training has gotten away from me. I have less than a month to make it happen. Yikes. I am hoping this will keep focused and, more importantly, keep me honest. Here we go.
