I must be motivated. I actually went to the gym tonight after my daughters (five-year-old twins) went to bed. You see, I'm not really a "work out at night" sort of gal; I'm much more of the "work out first thing in the morning" variety. Unfortunately, I have had a horrible time getting out of bed at 5:00 a.m. recently...well...for the last two years, actually.
It went as well as was to be expected, I guess. My goal was 2.5 miles and I varied between intervals at 5.0 mph and 3.5 mph at a 2.0% incline. A far cry from my former warm-up walking speed of 4.0 mph...but it was a start. The funny thing was that just as I was really hitting a groove, with less than two-tenths of a mile to go, I accidentally hit the emergency stop button. Grrr...I couldn't believe it!
I'm considering a trip back to the gym in the morning...let's see how early 5:00 a.m. seems tomorrow.
